machine and common repair problems
Washing Machine Spares that most commonly break
Drum lifters are one
of the most common washer parts to fail on a washing machine. Drum paddles are
found inside the drum, they are triangular prism; these are used to help the
clothes move around the drum. Drum paddles
often break when the washing machine drum is overloaded or heavy item such as
trainers or shoes are washed in them.
Washing Machine
Pumps are used to discharge waste water from the drum out of the
machine, pumps can often get blocked or fail due to heavily soiled clothing
items such as muddy sports clothing, it is advised that you clean you pump out
on a regular basis. Washer Pumps can be accessed from the front of the machine
hidden behind a flap in the bottom corner.
Heating
elements are required to heat water to the washing temperature
selected. Washer Elements are an internal spare part and are located inside the
machine. Heating elements can often fail over time, you will notice this when
if your clothes aren’t being cleaned and your water is not heating up. Lime
scale deposits build up on the element over time causing it to fail. To avoid
this happening it is best to use a lime scale and detergent remover.
A door
interlock on a washing machine is a common part to fail, the Door
inter lock is an electronic component that stops the door from opening whilst
the machine is on. Unfortunately there
is little that can be done to prevent this washing machine part from breaking.
We stock many washing machine door interlocks for most leading brands and
fortunately these parts are relatively cheap and easy to repair.
