Cooker Parts that
most commonly fail or break.
By
far the most common part to break on a Cooker or Oven would be the Heating
Element, you can normally tell if this needs replacing if your oven is
turning on the fan is spinning but the oven itself is not getting hot. Luckily
this is one of the easier parts to replace. You can repair it without even
removing the oven from the unit. In order to replace the Element you’ll need to
open the oven door, remove all wire shelves and anything else that would
restrict you getting to the back wall of the oven, you could even remove the
door but this is not a necessity. There should be 4 screws in either corner of
the oven, once you have removed these screws, remove the back panel and behind
it you will see the element. There will be another two or three screws depending
on the make and model holding the element in. Once you have freed the element
two or three cables will still be attached, these will slide off, with a bit of
force. To finish all you will need to do is wire in the new element screw it in
place and fit the back panel.
